CCI STAT OF THE GAME: The Wizards outrebounded the Bulls 52-39.
CCI RECAP: Both teams entered the game without star driven players. DeMar DeRozan missed his first game of the season with a quad injury; Washington played without Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis and Daniel Gafford. Bottom line- Anthony Gill, averaging two points per game stepped up scoring a career high 18 points. Missing their top two rebounders in Porzingis and Gafford, Deni Avdija pulled down a career high 20 boards.
Kyle Kuzma's right wing three ball put Washington ahead with 5.7 seconds left. The final play of the game went to Zach Lavine who attempted to draw a foul on the play,missed an 18 footer as time expired. LaVine led all scorers with 38. Nikola Vucevic recorded his seventh straight double-double game of 15-10-5. With DeRozan's absence the Bulls attempted just nine free throws. Only LaVine and Derrick Jones Jr. went to the line.
Washington out boarded the Bulls 52-39. The Wizards outscored the Bulls by 20 points in the third quarter , 41-21. The Bulls committed just 12 turnovers but Washington managed to score 19 points off them. NEXT: Home with Oklahoma City Friday.

Boston 125, New Orleans 114. The Celtics won their fourth straight. Jaylen Brown scored a season high 41 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Denver 126, Phoenix 97. Nikola Jokic keeps putting up ridiculous numbers. A near triple double for the 2 time MVP: 21-18-9.
Sacramento 135, Houston 115. Don’t look now but the Kings are the 4th seed in the Western Conference.
